Britains Best 2014The clock is ticking loudly and salons now only have days left to get their entries in for this year’s NHBF Britain’s Best competition.

The closing date for entries is 7 November, and the NHBF is urging all salons – members and non-members – not to leave it too late for your chance to join the ranks of Britain’s Best.

There have been a record number of entries for this year’s competition, which is being held on 16 November at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Now in its third year and already one of the highlights of the hairdressing calendar, Britain’s Best is set to be an intense, passionate battle of the most creative stylists in the country. And you could be one of them!

There are 11 categories to enter this year, including new categories, such as Afro-Caribbean, and beauty-based categories, such as Body Art, Nail Art. Bridal Make-up and Fantasy Total Look.

For the first time a number of categories have been opened up to students and trainees as well as more experienced stylists: Blow Dry, Hair-Up, and Male Fashion Look.

Categories cost £20 to enter, £15 for students and trainees and £10 for nail and make-up categories.

For those who just want to come along and cheer on their favourites, spectator tickets cost £10, available on the door on 16 November or in advance through britainsbest.me.

All tickets – competitors, models and spectators – give you free entry to the Heritage Motor Centre, which boasts the UK’s largest collection of classic and vintage cars.

As well as the floor competition, spectators and competitors will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet our four celebrity guests: photographer and award-winning hairdresser Desmond Murray, top extensionist Michelle Griffin, cutting-edge barber MK and award-winning colourist Anne Veck.

It all that wasn’t enough, the winners of the NHBF’s prestigious Photographic Stylist of the Year competition will also be announced during Britain’s Best.

NHBF president Paul Curry said:

I am truly excited about this year’s Britain’s Best. The new categories, the venue, the quality of entrants so far – it’s all building up to be our best ever competition yet.

Could you be among this year’s Britain’s Best? There’s only one way to find out – so get your entry in today.”

This year’s competition is being sponsored by Sleek, Revlon Professional, SalonGenius, Nanokeratin System and Coversure Insurance Services.
