Litter on the street reduces a town’s appeal, property prices and deters customers from visiting local businesses. The first day of spring, 21 March, welcomes a national Community Clean Up Day.

With salons having an increasing presence on the High Street, the industry is well placed to make a positive change to towns across the country.

NHBF president Paul Curry said:

“You may already be aware of a community clean up event happening locally, but if not you may want to get involved. After all, a clean street outside the salon is just as important as a clean floor inside. Creating a great first impression for customers will offer them a better overall experience and keep them coming back.

“Salon owners can improve their own communities and being involved is not only great PR for your salon, but can help you meet potential clients.”
