About me
I’m Raymond Bottone, a salon owner, consultant, and long-time advocate for the hair and beauty industry. With over 15 years in the business, I’ve built a thriving salon, Raymond Bottone Hair, and been appointed as a Director at MySalonManager, a consultancy dedicated to helping salon owners grow and succeed.
Having worked closely with both independent salons and larger organisations, I understand the challenges our industry faces and the opportunities we can create together. I’ve also sought mentorship from business leaders outside the sector, including CEOs, CFOs, and consultants, which has given me fresh perspectives on leadership, financial planning, and business development.
Why I would like to be President and the skills I bring
I’m passionate about this industry and the people in it. The NHBF is an essential support system for salons, and I’d love the opportunity to help shape its future, ensuring it continues to provide real value to its members.

- Leadership & Collaboration - I’ve worked with teams at all levels, helping salon owners build businesses that are both creative and commercially successful. I believe in leading by listening and working together to find solutions that benefit everyone.
- Business & Financial Understanding - Running a salon and coaching other business owners has given me a strong understanding of budgets, financial planning, and sustainable growth - knowledge I could use to support NHBF’s work for its members.
- Communication & Representation- Whether speaking at events, writing for industry publications, or working with businesses one-on-one, I know how to communicate ideas clearly and engage with people in a meaningful way.
If elected, I’d focus on ensuring the NHBF remains a supportive, forward-thinking organisation that truly reflects the needs of its members. I’d love the chance to represent and support you all.
