NHBF Welcomes Government’s £1.2bn investment in apprenticeships
Following the release of the 2024 Autumn Budget, the NHBF’s "Straightening out the costs” comprehensively demonstrated that, without urgent government intervention, we risk losing the traditional salon model.
The NHBF welcomes the Government's announcement of a £1.2bn investment in apprenticeships. The NHBF will work with them as this is delivered to ensure that hair and beauty careers are promoted to those seeking a rich and rewarding career.
This is a promising opportunity for the sector, but more is needed with immediate action to save the high street with an urgent review of the VAT system and improved business rates support to help protect and grow this vital sector.
