The Institute for Apprenticeships is calling for hair and beauty employers to become Route Panel Members and play an invaluable part in making the quality of England’s apprentices world class and steering the development of T-levels, the new technical qualifications which will be offered in colleges.

These roles will support the Institute’s for Apprenticeships commitment to be led by employers in the development and approval of apprenticeship standards, apprenticeship assessment plans and technical qualifications. In total, there will be 15 Route Panels, one for each occupational route, including one for hair and beauty which will be chaired by the newly appointed Suki Kalirai.
Hilary Hall, NHBF CEO commented: “Once recruited, hair and beauty Route Panel members will be part of ensuring the quality of hair and beauty apprenticeships and technical qualifications in the UK.
Caroline Larissey, Head of Standards and Qualifications at Habia, said : We wanted to alert employers to the panel opportunity so they can make an important investment in building the capability of our sector”.

Please note that the Institute for Apprenticeships will only be recruiting employers, not training providers, professional bodies or trade associations.
Neither will the Institute for Apprenticeships be seeking applications from currently active Trailblazer members.
The Institute for Apprenticeships consider applications from employers who are no longer engaged in Trailblazer work. Please bear this is mind when considering whether or not to submit an application.
