Last chance to enter the NHBF’s photographic stylist of the year competition - entries close at noon on Friday 18th September!

The photographic competition is a fabulous opportunity for stylists to experiment and innovate to create high-impact, visually stunning photographic images.

This year there are four categories,

  • Male and female fashion look 1 (open to those working towards level 3)
  • Male and female fashion look 2 (open to all)
  • Male and female afro-caribbean look (open to all)
  • Male and female fashion collection (open to all)

The male and female fashion look and male and female afro-caribbean look categories are judged on a single image. So to enter simply create your fashion look and take your picture.

With the male and female fashion collection, entries need a collection of images suitable for the front cover of a magazine. Submit four high resolution images.

NHBF President, Paul Curry said: “We know time is running out, but it’s still important to plan your shoot carefully and don’t rush things. There is still plenty of time to really focus on what you want to create, then style and shoot.

“The competition is a great way for trainees and fully qualified stylists to make their mark but also it’s great PR for your salon. My advice is to give it a go, there’s absolutely nothing to lose.”

The finalist will be announced in October, with the winners being announced in November at the NHBF’s sister competition, Britain’s Best.  All entries undergo two rounds of judging with industry experts and media professionals.
